This new release allows use of existing mods and creating new ones (but it’s recommended create them on PC for performance reasons). ‘Whats SOR Maker? What the hell are you talking about??’ - SOR Maker is a great tool included in Streets of Rage Remake, that allows anyone to create new mods. it has an user interfaces that allows to add new music, sprites, scenarios, creating stories and much more. ‘That’s cool! What am i need for using them on Raspberry Pi?’ - You’ll only need Streets of Rage Remake, the Raspberry Pi bennuGD port and of course a keyboard and a mouse (gamepad is not supported for creating mods…) This release is on beta so expect bugs and maybe some mods won’t work… Here’s the video of one SOR Maker mod in action: How to use it: 1- For instructions installing SOR on Raspberry Pi you can check this post. 2- Download the new release, you can do it from here 3- Extract bgdi-330 on the folder you previously installed bennugd port and overwrite existing files. 4- Copy the mods on mod/games/ folder, make sure there’s a folder for each mod 5- Now you’ll see the mod in SorMaker menu option in main menu 6- If some mod doesn’t work, rename the files Credits.png, Title.png and Logo.png to credits.png, title.png and logo.png, making lowercase the first letter of the file name. It was designed as a new version of the MegaDrive trilogy, because Sega was not working on any sequel. It’s considered for the community as the definitive SOR version, and its so good that really merit to be played. It has a quality that even Sega hasn’t achieved. The game is developed by scratch under BennuGD Game Development Engine. It doesn’t use reverse-engineering nor any single line of the original SOR code. All is based on visual interpretation and many upgrades in order to achieve a XXI century experience.
